Student Doctors from the School of Medicine can book the Formby Room (G15) on this page.

Booking a room in Cedar House

• G.24 (Student Society Meeting Room): Small private room for 4–6 people. Instant approval.

• G15 (Formby Room): Large space for up to 60 people. Suitable for School of Medicine society meetings, teaching, revision, or after-hours events (Mon-Fri, 4pm-9pm).

• Guild-registered societies also have access to wider campus spaces. See the Guild Room Booking System or Societies Hub for details.

How to book

1. Scroll down this page, select your date and times on the booking system (default is 30 mins; select extra slots to extend).
2. G15 bookings are reviewed by the Engagement Team - submit at least two working days in advance.
3. For last-minute needs or small catch-ups, please use the Student Hub or other communal study spaces.

Before you book G15

• After-hours use must be confirmed by the Engagement Team.
• Capacity: max 60 people.
• Ensure your society/activity has a valid risk assessment (if required).
• All bookings must follow the G15 Room Booking Guidelines - breaches may result in loss of booking privileges.

Promote your event

Once your room booking is confirmed, we can promote your event in the weekly Student Bulletin. If you’d like it included, please email the Engagement Team at engagement.mbchb@liv.ac.uk with:

• a short event blurb (2-3 sentences)
• event start time and end time 
• any sign-up link or call-to-action (preferably a link to your Guild event page)
• an image or logo (optional)
